BACKING: The rugs are edged with twill tape and finished with a cloth backing.
TIMELINE: Production time is 2-3 weeks from order date.
PROCESS: I use two different types of tufting guns- a loop pile which creates loops, and a cut-pile which creates a shag-like carpet texture. I use various pile heights and lengths to create contrasting textures as well as a variety of acrylic and wool yarns.
After the piece is tufted on a large frame it is glued, cut off the frame, sculpted with a razor and scissors, and lastly the backing is added with the hanging method. Each piece is unique and made by hand.
